Known for her use of vivid watercolour and lively quick-draw urgency – Vivian paints in the style of en plein air to contrast with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look. In the perfect months of May and June she can be spotted painting in gardens, courtyards and the riverbanks with watercolour paints and sometimes experimental raw pigments. Every season since brings new bold organic shapes and colour combinations and a fabulous mess!™

Vivian launched her ”beautiful mess” collections of watercolour spots and splashes, dots and dashes under the nom de plume C’EST LA VIV on various print-on-demand online shops in 2008 – and quickly lead the way for a new aesthetic with features in Trend Bible UK, Today Show and other trend reports. Her prints are designed to delight and inspire the artist in you.
